We endeavour to have a good selection of cellos for sale to suit players of all levels.

Student instruments (£450 – £1,000)
Recommended new contemporary Chinese workshop outfits £885 in all sizes, set up in our workshops with Jargar strings, Wittner light alloy tailpiece, new bridge and soundpost and refitted nut and pegs. Long established alternative 4/4 Rumanian solid wood Zeller (cello only) set up as above £925. Second hand Eastern European instruments are sometimes available. Part exchange considered on smaller instrument purchased
from us.

Suitable for progressing students (£2,000 – £4,000)
Contemporary workshop instruments sourced and commissioned by us, as available.

Individual cellos both contemporary and mature examples from £4,000 to circa £10,000 to suit amateur players, advanced students, teachers and professional players. Examples of French, English and German Schools of the 19th and 20th century.

If provided with background information we are usually happy to give impartial advice on your own instrument or one that you may be considering.

Instruments and bows may be tried in our playing room and full approval facilities are available. We ask that before visiting us you ring first to discuss your requirements.
