We endeavour to have a good selection of violas for sale to suit players of all levels.

Student instruments (£210 – £325)
Our starter viola, Stentor 2 upgraded in our workshops to include upgraded strings (Red Label/steel cored or Dominant), Wittner light alloy tailpiece, new bridge and soundpost and refitted nut and pegs. New and secondhand instruments, subject to availability. Part exchange considered on instruments purchased from us.

Suitable for progressing students (£650 – £1,200)
Contemporary workshop instruments sourced and commissioned by us, as available.

Individual violas both contemporary and mature examples from £1,500 to circa £10,000 to suit amateur players, advanced students, teachers and professional players. Examples of French and German Schools of the late 19th / early 20th century such as Saxony, Neuner and Horsteiner. Contemporary French and English instruments, including Elspeth and Christopher Rowe.

If provided with background information we are usually happy to give impartial advice on your own instrument or one that you may be considering.

Instruments and bows may be tried in our playing room and full approval facilities are available. We ask that before visiting us you ring first to discuss your requirements.
